John L. Oliveira

SWANSEA... John L. Oliveira, 68, of Swansea passed away November 17, 2015 at his home.
He was the husband of Kathleen (Paulino) Oliveira.
Born in St. Vincent Ferreira, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel and Rosa (Farias) Oliveira and has been in the Fall River/Swansea area since 1955.
Mr. Oliveira enjoyed gardening, dogs, soccer, boxing and fishing.
Along with his wife, he is survived by two sons; John E. Oliveira and Kyle E. Oliveira, both of Swansea, 6 sisters; Luiza Frazier of Tiverton, Christine Buchannan of Tiverton, Albertina Travers of Fall River, Mary Santos of Fall River, Theresa Gillette of Fall River and Mariana Camara of Westport, a brother; Manuel Oliveira of Swansea, many nieces and nephews He was brother of the late Jose Oliveira and Conceicao Sousa.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday, November 23rd at 8 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be Sunday from 5-8 PM.
