Jose P. "Bermuda" DaSilva

Jose P. "Bermuda" DaSilva, 69, of Fall River, passed away Friday at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of Madalena (Santos) DaSilva of 44 years.

Born in Agua d? Alto, St. Michael, Azores; a son of the late Francisco and Maria Correira, he resided in Fall River for the past 43 years.

Mr. DaSilva worked as a buffer for Reed & Barton in Taunton for 10 years. He was a member of Santo Christo Church.

Besides his wife, his is survived by a daughter Christine Branco (husband Danny) of Fall River, 2 sons, Jose M. DaSilva of Fall River and Flavio Pacheco of Fall River; 3 sisters, Natalia Carrusso, Donatilda Travassos and Fernanda Correira all of Taunton; 2 brothers, Edmundo Correira and Tony DaSilva of both of Taunton; 3 grandchildren, Kennedy M. Branco, Brittany J. Branco and Cameron D. Branco and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home 215 Columbia St. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 5 - 8 p.m.
