Jose Faria

Jose Faria, 73, of the Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., formerly of Westport, died Wednesday at the home. Born in Porto Formoso, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Antonio Caetano Faria and Mariana da Conceicao Faria; he lived in this country since 1981.

He is survived by four sisters, Maria do Carmo Melo of Vancouver, Canada, Teresa Arruda, Beatrice Fulgencio and Cristina Leocadio, all of Fall River; a brother, Joao Faria of Vancouver, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-8 p.m.
