Jose G. Maranhao

FALL RIVER… Jose G. Maranhao, 71, of Fall River, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022 at his home.

He was the husband of Eduarda Maranhao.

Born in Terceira, Azores, he was a son of the late Joao and Maria Maranhao.

Prior to retiring, Jose worked for most of his career as a landscaper. He was an avid soccer fan and loved spending time with his cats.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his son Jose H. Maranhao, of Fall River; his sisters Fernanda Lima and Maria Pimentel; his brother Antonio Maranhao; his grandchildren Geneva Maranhao, Quincy Maranhao, and Hailey Maranhao; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Thursday, December 22th, from 8-9:30 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St. Interment with follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
