Joseph R. Araujo

Joseph R. Araujo, 70, of Sawyer Ave., Swansea, MA, a retired industrial artist, died Saturday, Jan. 31st. He was the husband of the late Mary Louise "Mary Lou" (Souza) Araujo.

Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Joseph and Irene (Broadhurst) Araujo; he lived most of his life in Swansea.

He is survived by a daughter, Darlene M. Araujo of Palm Bay, FL; a sister, Ann M. Oliveira of Palm Bay, FL; and a niece and a nephew.

His funeral remains on schedule for Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Swansea. Committal prayers and interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours this evening have been cancelled.
