Joseph A. Mello

Joseph A. Mello, 58, of Fall River, died Monday at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Fairhaven, MA, he was a son of the late Anthony and Palmira (Cardoza) Mello; he resided most of his life in Fall River and was a member of St. Anne's Church..

Mr. Mello was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He loved listening to music and watching movies.

His is survived by a brother, Bruce Mello of New Bedford, MA; a niece and two nephews; and several cousins.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Anne's Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 5 - 7 p.m.
