Joy M. Carter

Joy M. (Bouchard) Carter, 55, of Fall River, died Monday at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She was the wife of Robert R. Carter.

Born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of the late George and Edna (Ledoux) Bouchard; she was a lifelong resident of this city.

Mrs. Carter worked as a bus driver for Tremblay Bus Company for 25 years. She also worked as a home health aide.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jessica L. Cioe of Fall River; a son, Justin R. Carter of Fall River; four brothers, George Bouchard of RI, Reynald Bouchard and Gerald Bouchard, both of Westport, MA and Gilbert Bouchard of Somerset, MA; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in Hillside Bible Baptist Church, 2388 County St., Dighton. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours Friday 6 - 8 p.m. at 2064 South Main Street.
