Laudalina Dias

Laudalina (Carvalho) Dias, 83, of Fall River, formerly of Columbia St., passed away Friday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joao J. Dias.

Born in Mosteiros, St. Michael, Azores; a daughter of the late Francisco and Teresa (Botelho) Carvalho.

Mrs. Dias was a homemaker and a member of Santo Christo Church.

She is survived by 4 daughters, Theresa Papoula (husband Manuel) of Fall River, Analia Dias of Fall River, Maria M. Rego (husband Joe) Fall River and Adriana Caetano (husband Joseph) of Westport; a sister, Teresa Cabral of New Bedford; a brother, Jose Carvalho of Florida; 6 grandchildren, Gary Papoula, Brian Rego, Eric Caetano, Stephanie Papoula, Stacy Rego and Melissa Caetano; 2 great-grandchildren, Lincoln Rego and Alyssa Caetano and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel Botelho, Valentina Mateus and Maria Jose Ambrosio.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 5 - 9 p.m.
