Laura M. Arruda

Laura M. (Calvo) Arruda, age 95, passed away on November 20, 2025, at Catholic Memorial Home, in Fall River.

    She was the loving wife of the late Francis M. Arruda.

    She is survived by her children Michael Arruda (Janice), Gary Arruda (Joanne), Francis Arruda (Donna); grandchildren Nicole, Jessica, Logan, Brittany, Mason, Lauren, Ashley and several nieces.

    Born and raised in Fall River, Laura worked in the garment industry and was a Teacher Assistant in the Fall River School Dept.’s E.S.L. program. Laura was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish and past member of its Ladies Guild.

    Her visitation will be held Monday, November 24th, from 5 - 7 PM at the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main St Chapel, 2064 South Main St., Fall River.

    Her funeral will be held Tuesday, November 25th, at 9 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Parish, Stafford Rd, Fall River. Interment at St Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.

    In lieu of flowers consider a donation in Laura’s name to St Anne’s Shrine Preservation Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

    The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff of Catholic Memorial Home, for their exceptional care and compassion they showed to their mom and their family. It will always hold a special place in our hearts.
