Leo A. Gendreau

Leo Alfred Gendreau, 94, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away on April 21, 2026, at home, surrounded by his family.

    He was the beloved husband of the late Rita (Lavoie) Gendreau.

    Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Charles Gendreau and the late Albertine (Belanger) Gendreau.

    A dedicated and hardworking man his entire life, Leo spent his career working in facilities maintenance for several organizations, including Providence Pile and Berkshire Hathaway. Outside of his professional life, he took joy in life's simple daily routines and social connections. He loved going out to eat, drinking Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, and could frequently be found enjoying a cup of coffee and good conversations with his friends at Market Basket.

    He is survived by his three children, Lee Gendreau, Ron Gendreau, and Teri Croteau; his brother, Donald Gendreau; as well as eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, AnneMarie Gendreau, and several brothers and one sister.

    His funeral mass will be held Monday, April 27, 2026, at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd, Fall River. Interment to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
