Liduina M. Carrelas

Liduina M. (Moniz) Carrelas, 92, of Swansea, passed away Friday at the Fall River Jewish Home. She was the wife of the late David V. Carrelas.

Born in Lomba do Loucao, Povaocao, St. Michael, Azores; a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria dos Anjos Moniz.

Mrs. Carrelas had worked as a trimmer for the former Darwood Manufacturing for 15 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Santo Christo Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Alda (husband Emanuel) Chaves of Swansea; 3 sons, Eduardo Carrelas (wife Jorgina) of Fall River, Marcelino Carrelas (wife Luisa) of Westport and Luis Carrelas (wife Mary Lou) of Fall River; a sister, Angelina Maia of Brazil; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by 8 siblings.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
