Lillian Furtado

FALL RIVER– Lillian (Cabral) Furtado, 90, of Fall River, died Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center in Fall River. She was the wife of the late John Furtado, Jr.
Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Carreiro) Cabral; she was a lifelong resident of Fall River and a parishioner of Good Shepherd Parish. She was a former member of TOPS 249. Mrs. Furtado workerd as a sewing machine operator at the former Fall River Knitting Mill and Linjay Mfg Corp.
She is survived by three sons, Dennis Furtado and his wife Barbara of Cumberland, RI, James Furtado and his partner Patricia Riley of Swansea, MA and David Furtado and his wife Fatima of Somerset, MA; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Leonard Cabral, Mary Pontes and Beatrice Amaral,
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 9 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Good Shepherd Parish, South Main Street, Fall River. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Road, Fall River. Calling hours Monday 4-7 p.m.
