Lillian Marie Tavares

Lillian Marie Tavares, 75, of Fall River, passed away on August 22, 2025, at home surrounded by her family.

    She was the former wife of the late Manuel Botelho Tavares.

    Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Garcia and Maria Jose (Furtado) Garcia.

    Lillian earned an Associate's Degree and worked as a purchasing manager in the pharmaceutical industry, prior to retiring. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her daughter and beloved grandchildren.

    She is survived by her daughter Dawn Marie Farias and her husband Dennis of Fall River; her grandchildren Quinlan Aiden Farias and Kendall Lillith Farias; her siblings Mary Oliveira and her husband Dennis, of Florida, Louis Garcia and Antonio Garcia, both of Fall River, Beatriz Smaldone and her husband Michael, of Dartmouth, and Edward Garcia and his wife Filomena, of South Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

    Private funeral arrangements are under the care of the Oliveira Funeral Homes.
