Linda (Fernandes) Smith

WARREN…Linda (Fernandes) Smith, 69, of Warren, formerly of East Providence, passed away, January 19, 2023, at Crestwood Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Warren, RI.

She was the loving wife of Brian Smith.

Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Louis Fernandes, Sr. and Evelyn (Cambra) Fernandes.

Prior to retiring, Linda was employed as a clerk at the former Swan Finishing for 38 years. She was a parishioner of St. Dominic’s Parish, in Swansea, and enjoyed reading, puzzles, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Along with her husband, survivors include her daughters: Sarah Smith, of Hope Valley, RI, Jessica Smith, of Woodriver, RI, and Johnna Bedard, of Niantic, CT; her grandchildren: Maizie Hill, Riley Conroy, Cooper Conroy, Skyla Bedard, and Wyatt Bedard; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Louis Fernandes, Jr. and Barbara Ferreira.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 9:00 – 11:00 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home – South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main St. Fall River, MA, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
