Loretta Moniz

Loretta Moniz – April 11, 1938 – September 26, 2024, 86, of Fall River, MA passed away peacefully on Thursday, 9/26/2024 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after months of failing health.

    Born in Newport, RI, she was the daughter of the late Antone and Serafina (Sadie Rogers) Davis.

    She was a Seamstress and Union Member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and a Manager at McDonalds. She loved long car rides, music, and all animals, especially dogs.

    She is survived by her loving sons, Thomas Moniz(Companion, Kyle Kawa) and Richard Moniz(Wife, Deborah Moniz) of Westport, MA. Grandchildren, Thomas Moniz(Wife, Elizabeth Moniz) Keith Moniz, (Wife, Vera Moniz) of Westport, MA, Corinne Moniz Roncaioli (husband, Derek Roncaioli) of Norfolk, VA and Courtney Moniz of Westport, MA. Great Grandson, Julian Moniz and Great Granddaughter, Gianna Roncaioli. She was also the ex-wife of the late Bento Moniz, Jr. and longtime companion of the late James Monteiro.

    A memorial service will be held 11 AM - 12 PM on Thursday, 10/3/24 at Oliveira Funeral Home in Fall River, MA with Burial directly following at Notre Dame Cemetery.
