Lorraine Paradise

Lorraine Paradise, age 93, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away on September 13, 2026.

    She was the devoted wife of the late Lawrence Paradise.

    Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, Lorraine was the daughter of the late John Arruda and Idalina (Costa) Arruda.

    Lorraine spent her career working as a packer in manufacturing, working for Frito Lay and later Tillotson Rubber. Beyond her professional life, she was deeply involved in her community, volunteering for many years as a lunch lady at Espirito Santo. Lorraine had a vibrant and joyful spirit. She was passionate about her Soap Operas and would talk to her friends daily about them. She was also an avid fan of the television programs The Golden Girls and Everybody Loves Raymond. But most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

    She is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Cosetta, and her husband Bob. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Jeffrey Cosetta and Kimberly Sobreiro (and her husband Mark), as well as her great-grandchildren, Cameron and Alex Sobreiro. Lorraine was preceded in death by her beloved son, Steven Paradise.

    The family would like to give a special thanks to Southcoast Visiting Nurse and Somerset Ridge Center, for the care they provided to Lorraine.

    Her visitation will be held Saturday, Sep 19th, from 8 - 9:30 AM at the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary's Cathedral, Second Street, Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Lorraine's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
