Luis M. De Torres

Luis M. De Torres, 48, of Grant St., died Thursday at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Maria (Benjamin) De Torres.

Born in Feteiras do Sul, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Ernesto Torres and Germana (Leonardo) Torres; he lived in this city for the past 26 years and was a member of Santo Christo Church.

Mr. De Torres formerly worked as a patch man at J&J Marine. Previously he worked at TPI Composites in Warren and Holby Marine on Bristol.

He was a member of the Santo Christo Club.

He is survived by two sons, Scott De Torres and Brian De Torres, both of Fall River; four sisters, Paula Torres, Sandra Torres, Ana Rebelo and Claudia Torres, all of St. Michael, Azores; three brothers, Jorge Torres and Marco Torres, both of St Michael, Azores and Ernesto Torres of Canada; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 6-9 p.m.
