Lyllyan P. Borges

Lyllyan P. (Vasconcellos) Borges, 89, of New Bedford, formerly of Fall River, died Wednesday at Brandon Woods of New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Arthur S. Borges.
Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Fausto J. and Hilda S. (Serpa) Vasconcellos; she lived in Fall River for most of her life.
Mrs. Borges worked as a cashier for 20 years at the former Fall River Gas Co. She previously worked for F.W. Woolworth Co. as an apartment manager for over 20 years.
She is survived by a sister, Hilda Michaluk of Fall River; two brothers, Fausto J. Vasconcellos, Jr. of Fall River and Alfred A. Vasconcellos of New Bedford, MA; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the sister of the late Ayres Vasconcellos, Anthony "Tony" Vasconcellos, Robert J. Vasconcellos and Richard A. Vasconcellos.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:45 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Cremation to follow. Calling hours morning of funeral 8:15 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
