Manuel S. Ferreira

Manuel S. Ferreira, 85, of Frank B. Oliveira Apartments, 170 William St., a retired textile worker, died Sunday, July 24th at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the former husband of Gloria (Melo) Ferreira.
Born in Furnas, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Antonio de Sousa Carreiro and Maria dos Anjos Ferreira; he emigrated to this country in 1971. Mr. Ferreira worked in the local textile industry for many years.
Besides his former wife, he is survived by four daughters, Rose Carvalho of Fall River, Ana Duarte of Tiverton, RI, Maria Brush and Cidalia Bulhoes, both of Somerset, MA; a sister, Maria Jose Ferreira of New Bedford, MA; eight grandchildren; four great-granddaughter; and two nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Thursday, July 28th at a.m. in the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Cremation to follow. Calling hours Wednesday 5-8 p.m.
