Manuel Ferreira

Manuel Ferreira, 89, of Murphy Village, Somerset passed away Monday. He was the wife of the late Marie Phoebe (Lewis) Ferreira.

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Innocencio and Mary (Oliveira) Ferreira, he resided most of his life in Somerset.

Mr. Ferreira worked as an auto mechanic for Rock Ford in Rockland. He later worked as a maintenance man for Somerset Jeep, formerly Gesner Jeep for 14 years, retiring in 1986.

He is survived by a daughter Joyce T. Ferreira of Somerset and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Michael John Ferreira and brother of the late Irene White, Mary DeFurio and Joseph Ferreira.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Oliveira Funeral Home 2064 South Main St. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 4 - 8 p.m.
