Manuel Oliveira

FALL RIVER … Manuel Oliveira, 76, of Milliken Blvd. , formerly of Holly Hill Ave., Westport, died March 30, 2014. He was the husband of Maria Natalia (Ferreira) Oliveira. And son of the late Jose Oliveira and the late Eliza Oliveira.

He was born in Santa Barbara, de St Antonio, Alem Capelas, St. Michael, Azores and has lived in Fall River since 2010.

He was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Sanford Rd. , Westport .

Mr. Oliveira was Landscaper for Argus Construction Company.

He was a founding member and soccer player with the Fall River Sports Club for many years, Past Vice President of the Holy Name Society of Santa Christo Church, and he enjoyed working around his house and yard.

Survivors include his wife, a son Patrick J. Oliveira of Fall River, 2 brothers: Jose Oliveira of Montreal, Canada, Antonio Oliveira of Somerset, a sister Maria Bernardo of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, a sister-in-law and her husband John and Hilda Barboza of Somerset, several nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.

Funeral to which relatives and friend s are invited will be held Thursday at 8:30 A.M. from the OLIVERIA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia Street, Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Grace Church, Sanford Road, Westport.
