Manuel S. Pimentel

FALL RIVER - Manuel S. Pimentel, 86, of Tiverton, RI, a retired textile worker, died Saturday, October 15th at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Maria Josephine (Motta) Pimentel.
Born in Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose and Isabel L. (Sousa) Pimentel; Mr. Pimentel came to this country in 1960 and was employed by the former Quaker Fabrics for 30 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and a member of the former Our Lady of Angels Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Edward Pimentel of Fall River and Daniel Pimentel of Tiverton; three grandchildren, Daniel Pimentel, Alexander Stewart Pimentel and Alicia Marie Pimentel; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria Pimentel Barbosa.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, October 19th at 9 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main Street, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Good Shepherd Parish. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 6-8 p.m.
