Maria A. Medeiros

Maria Adriana (Viveiros) Medeiros, 74, of Fall River, a retired machine operator, died Sunday at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Manuel C. Medeiros.

Born in Santa Maria, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Victorino Ricardo and Feliciana Ricardo-Mendonca; she lived in Fall River since 1974 and was a member of Santo Christo Church.

Mrs. Medeiros worked for 11 years at the former Standard Linnen Co.

She is survived by four daughters, Esmeralda Botelho (husband Carlos) of Fall River, Rosa Machado (husband Tony) of Swansea, MA, Maria Fatima Medeiros (partner Paul Monteiro) of New Bedford, MA and Maria Angel Medeiros of Fall River; two sons, Luis Medeiros (wife Alda) of Westport and Norberto Medeiros of Fall River; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Denardo Ricardo and Armenia Vieira.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 5-9 p.m.
