Maria Jesus Cordeiro

FALL RIVER - Maria Jesus (Medeiros) Cordeiro, 99, of Fall River, a retired garment worker, died Saturday, February 11th at Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center. She was the wife of the late Inocencio Cordeiro.
Born in Lomba da Maia, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Medeiros; she emigrated to this country in 1970. Mrs. Cordeiro worked as a floor lady for several years at the former Tioga Sportswear.
She was a member of Santo Christo Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Maria E. Correia and her husband Manuel of Fall River; three sons, Jose Cordeiro and his wife Zenaida, Antonio Cordeiro and his wife Odette and Guilherme Cordeiro, all of Fall River; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, February 16th at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia Street, Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church, Columbia St., Fall River. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Road, Fall River. Calling hours Wednesday 5-8 p.m. at the Columbia Street location.
