Maria Eduarda Pereira

Maria Eduarda (Cunha) Pereira, 77, of 495 New Boston Rd., Fall River, formerly of Anthony St., died Thursday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Horacio C. Pereira.

Born in Agua de Pau, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Luis Cunha and Ana Zelia Cunha; she lived in this city for the past 34 years. Mrs. Pereira was a homemaker and a member of Santo Christo Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Elia Couto (Husband Eduardo) of Fall River; four sons, Luis Pereira (Wife Grace), Silverio M. Pereira (Wife Ana), Normando Pereira and Roy Pereira, all of Fall River; two sisters, Maria Ana Cunha of New Bedford and Maria Fernanda Cunha of Vancouver, Canada; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three nieces and three nephews.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 5 - 8 p.m.
