Maria R. Eleuterio

Maria Rosario (De Sousa) Eleuterio, 86, of Mulberry St., Fall River, died Thursday at home.
Born in Rosario de Lagoa, St. Michael, Azores, she was one of twenty four children to the late Manuel De Sousa and Maria Isabel (DaPonte) Eleuterio; she worked as nanny in the Azores for Admiral Foster, emigrating to this country in 1967 where she worked as a nanny for Dr. Sherman Haron in California . She retired from Crown Linen Service in Fall River. Mrs. Eleuterio was a Naturalized American Citizen and a member of Santo Christo Church.
She is survived by her son, Paul J. Eleuterio of Fall River; three sisters, Maria Luisa Eleuterio and Maria Talvina Caetano, both of St. Michael, Azores and Maria Rosa Pontes of Toronto, Canada; two grandchildren, Luke Eleuterio and Kaira Eleuterio; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia Street, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-8 p.m.
