Maria Grace Pereira

Maria Grace (Araujo) Pereira, 87, formerly of William St., passed away at Clifton Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Jose L. Pereira.

Born in Faial da Terra, St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Matias) Araujo Medeiros.

Mrs. Pereira worked as a seamstress for the former Shelburne Shirt Company for many years. She was a member of Santo Christo Church.

She is survived by 3 sons, Albert L. Pereira (wife Helen) of Fall River, Joe L. Pereira (wife Isabel) of Somerset and John A. Pereira (wife Rebecca) of Swansea; 3 brothers, Joe Medeiros, Carlos Medeiros and Edward Medeiros; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by 4 brothers.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 5 - 8 p.m.
