Maria do Carmo Guilherme

SOMERSET - Maria do Carmo (Pacheco) Guilherme, 91, of Fall River, a retired garment worker, died Monday, Sept. 26th at Somerset Ridge Center. She was the wife of the late Manuel C. Guilherme.
Born in Furnas, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Jose Pacheco Elizardo and Maria do Carmo Souza Tavares; she emigrated to this country in 1960. She was a member of Santo Christo Church. Mrs. Guilherme worked as a sewing machine operator for many years in the local garment industry.
She is survived by three daughters, Ann G. Lopes and her husband Hermano of Fall River, Maria Borges and her husband Jose Luis of Assonet, MA and Connie Goncalves of Fall River; two sisters, Maria Jose Cabral and Maria dos Anjos Pacheco, both of Fall River; a brother, Manuel Pacheco of Fall River; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Cyndi, Jason, Kimberly and Stacy-Lee; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother-in-law of the late Moises Goncalves.
Her funeral will be held Friday, September 30th at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Committal prayers and interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours Thursday 4-8 p.m.
