Maria Isabel Medeiros

Maria I. (Medeiros) Medeiros, better known as Isabel, 78, of Manchester St., Fall River, a retired sewing machine operator, died Thursday at Philip Hulitar Hospice and Palliative Care in Providence. She was the wife of the late Jacinto da Costa Medeiros.
Born in Capelas, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Roque) Pacheco-Medeiros; she emigrated to this country in 1965. Mrs. Medeiros worked for several years at Santoro Mfg.
She is survived by three daughters, Ana Ferreira of Fall River, Marta Medeiros-Brightman and her husband Bill of New Bedford and Normanda Teixeira and her husband Jose S. of Dartmouth; two sisters; four brothers; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 4-8 p.m.
