Maria Neronha

Maria Angel Neronha, 60, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026.

    She was the beloved wife of Joseph Roland Neronha.

    Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Luis Marques Resendes and Urania Maria (Furtado) Resendes.

    Maria was a woman of deep compassion and dedication. She worked as an administrative assistant at Neronha Finishing Co. in Fall River. However, her true life’s passion was realized in 2001 when she became a full-time missionary. She was a selfless individual who always put others before herself. Maria had a profound love for the broken-hearted and the poor, dedicating her life to helping those in need. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren.

    She is survived by her husband, Joseph; her two children, Nicole Neronha Jules and her husband Onny Jules, and Kyle Neronha and his wife Angelique; her sister, Regina Feijo and her husband Ronald "Ronnie"; her sister-in-law, Theresa Resendes; her three grandchildren, Abigail, Adah, and Eli; and her nieces and nephews, Jordan Feijo, Melanie Resendes, and Andrew Resendes. She was also the sister of the late Antonio "Tony" Resendes.

    A visitation will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 from 5 to 8 PM at the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main Street Chapel, 2064 South Main Street in Fall River.

    Her funeral will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026 at  9 AM at the funeral home, with the service starting at 9:30 AM. Interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
