Maria C. Oliveira

Maria Cremilde (Carvalho) Oliveira, 87, of Westport, MA, a homemaker, died March 3, 2015 at the Oaks in New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Manuel C. Oliveira. Born in Santa Barbara, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Silvana Barreira; she lived in this city since 1978.

She is survived by two daughters, Maria C. Oliveira of Fall River and Laura Miranda of Canada; two sons, Serafin Oliveira of Canada and Octavio Oliveira of Arizona; two sisters, Laurina Aguiar and Marcelina Cabral, both of Fall River; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was the mother of the late John D. DeOliveira and the sister of the late Alfredo Carvalho.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Espirito Santo Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation morning of funeral from 8-9:30 a.m.
