Maria J. Pacheco

FALL RIVER - Maria J. (Viana) Pacheco, 77, of 1748 Highland Ave., Fall River, formerly of Wilbur St., Fall River, a retired garment worker, died Saturday, February 18th at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Domingos R. Pacheco.
Born in Porto Formoso, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Lopes Viana and Emilia (Custodio-Lopes) Viana; she emigrated to this country in 1974. Mrs. Pacheco worked as an inspector for several years at the former Darwood Mfg. She was a member of Santo Christo Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Maria L. Thibault and her husband Raymond J. of Assonet, MA; a son, Joe L. Pacheco and his wife Dulce M. of Somerset, MA; two brothers, Joao Custodio and Manuel Viana, both of Portugal; five grandchildren, Ryan Pacheco, Shane Pacheco, Emily Pacheco, Julyanne Pacheco and Raymond J. Thibault, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Manuel A. Pacheco and the sister of the late Ana Silva and Jose L. Viana.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, February 22nd at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia Street, Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church, Columbia St., Fall River. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Road, Fall River. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8 p.m. at the Columbia Street location.
