Maria C. Pavao

ARIZONA - Maria C. (Benevides) Pavao, 87, of Florence, Arizona, formerly of Raymond St., Fall River, a retired garment worker, died Tuesday, June 13th at home. She was the wife of the late Hermano Lourenco and Alfredo R. Pavao.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Angelina (Cabral-Cordeiro) Benevides; she lived in Arizona for the past year. Mrs. Pavao worked as a sewing machine operator in the local garment industry. She was a member of Santo Christo Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Lucy Faco and her husband Olavo of Florence, Arizona; two sisters, Ana Alves of Fall River and Maria do Carmo Oliveira of Canada; a brother, Miguel Benevides of Canada; a granddaughter; Isaura Faco; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, June 20th at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia Street, Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church, Columbia Street, Fall River. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Road, Fall River. Calling hours Monday 5-8 pm.
