Maria dos Anjos Salsinha

PROVIDENCE, RI– Maria dos Anjos (Moreira) Salsinha, 70, of Fall River, died Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of Joao J. Salsinha.
Born in Furnas, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Virginio and Maria Agusta Moreira Paiva; she lived in Fall River for the past 46 years and was a homemaker. Mrs. Salsinha was a devout catholic and a member of Santo Christo Church. She was a proud member of Grupo Carismatico Espirito Santo. Maria was a loving person with a beautiful spirit; always wanting to take care of others.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Annabella Moniz and her husband John of Fall River; two brothers, Carlos Moreira of Furnas, St. Michael, Azores and Gil Moreira of Toronto, Canada; a grandson, Jonathan Tyler Moniz; and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Friday, March 16, 2018 at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church, Columbia St., Fall River.
