Maria Luisa Torres

Maria Luisa (Franco) Torres, 82, of North Dartmouth, MA; formerly of Fall River, passed way Sunday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Antonio P. Torres.

Born in Pedreira do Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Hortencia (Simas) Franco.

Mrs. Torres was a homemaker.

She is survived by 4 sons, Nicolau F. Torres of Westport, MA; Mario F. Torres of Fall River, MA; Marcelino F. Torres of North Dartmouth, MA; and Antonio C. Torres of Sandy, UT; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Marcelino F. Torres and sister of the late Maria da Silva, Manuel Teixeira and Antonio Franco.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home 215 Columbia St. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. George Church, Highland Ave. Westport, MA. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 6 - 9 p.m.
