Mario Fernandes

FALL RIVER... Mario Fernandes, 59, of Fall River, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Accentcare Hospice Center, in Milton.

Born in the Azores, he was a son of the late Antonio Fernandes and Maria Isabela (da Silva) Fernandes.

He had worked for most of his career at Republic Waste. Mario was a member of the Don Carlos Social Club and an avid New England Patriots and Benfica fan.

Mario is survived by his brother Joe Raposa, of Fall River; his sisters: Teresina Pereira, of Somerset, Paula Borge and Connie Fernandes, both of Fall River; his nephew Roger Pereira, his niece Christina Pereira, and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.
