Marjorie Fagundes

Marjorie Fagundes, 83, of Little Compton, Rhode Island, passed away on January 6, 2026.

    She was the beloved wife of John Fagundes.

    Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late August Oliveira and Mary (Rego) Oliveira.

    Marjorie worked for many years as a folder in the textile industry. She led an active life filled with joy and simple pleasures. She had a deep love for country music and dancing, and she was always on the lookout for hidden treasures while visiting yard sales and browsing for antiques. A true car enthusiast, she took great pride in her convertibles, specifically her classic 1965 Mustang and her 1993 LeBaron.

    She is survived by her husband, John; her daughter, Linda Thibodeau and her husband Stephen. She was also the sister of the late Rosemarie Teahan and Maureen Oliveira.

    Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 12, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main Street, Fall River, MA.

    Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 8:45 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Little Compton, followed by interment at Notre Dame Cemetery.
