Mary "Mamie Red" Andrade

FALL RIVER… Mary "Mamie Red" (Freitas) Andrade, 97, of Fall River passed away April 19, 2015. She was the widow of Frank Andrade.
She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Manuel C. and Maria (Lawrence) Freitas and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
She was a communicant of Santo Christo Church where she was a member Holy Rosary Sodality as well the Council of Catholic Women. Mrs. Andrade worked in the cafeteria at the J.J. Doran School for many years.
Survivors include a sister Virginia Bernard of Fall River, 3 grandchildren Christopher Andrade of Dighton, MA, Rebecca Dumont of Tiverton, RI, and Jennifer Andrade of Falmouth MA, as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Francis and Maurice Andrade and grandmother to the late Craig Andrade. She was the sister of the late Deloras Correira, Joseph, Arthur, Manuel, Maurice, Edward, James, Antone, and William Freitas.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday, at 8AM from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia Street, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia Street. Calling hours Wednesday 6-8PM. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
