Mary Placido Kulpa

August 29, 1921 — May 2, 2014

Mary (Andrade) Placido Kulpa, 92, of Westport, MA, formerly of Fall River, entered into God’s Kingdom wrapped in His Eternal Blanket of Love, Warmth and Beauty on Friday, May 2nd. with her dauther Pamela beside her. She was the wife of the late Chester E. Kulpa and Henry P. Placido. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel and Eliza (Diogo) Andrade; she resided with her daughter and caregiver Pamela and husband Joseph for the last 10 years of her beautiful, hardworking and care giving life.

She retired from the former Stella Ann Frocks (unwillingly) The shop as she called it working along side of her most trusted friends, that have all gone before her. Her loving heart and hard working hands has finished her journey of Life that God has provided her with. She was a strong beautiful person who gave her heart and soul to whoever needed her. Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother left us all with beautiful memories. Tears and laughter that will live on in our hearts forever.

She loved crocheting, knitting and was a wiz at crossword puzzles; her greatest asset was her unbelievable cooking dishes. Her grandson told her “Granny you could cook dirt and it would taste so delicious!” She was noted for her “devil dog recipe” baking for all family functions. She cherished time spent with her family, friends and loved ones.

The family would like to thank Dr. Majed Mouded and all his staff for giving her exceptional warmth, care and love. The complete staff at Somerset Ridge Rehab. for the warm compassionate love and care they provided her with. She will be greatly missed.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Pamela, son in-law Joey of Westport, MA; granddaughters, NaDene and Nicole; grandsons, Todd and Chad; great-granddaughter, Kayla Nicole; nieces, Lorraine, Irene & Dorothy; and many grand nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel, Serina, Joseph, Jenny, Frank, Hilda, John, David, Antone, Mathilda, Mary, Louis and Anna.
