Michael J. Cory

Michael J. Cory, 58, of Fall River, former owner and operator of Cory's Bread Distribution, Taunton, died Monday at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He was the husband of Pamela C. (Sledd) Cory.

Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Joseph and Gloria (Correia) Cory; he was a lifelong resident of this city. Mr. Cory worked as a delivery man for many years at Ray's Flower Shop. He also worked as a cook at the former Rocking Horse Restaurant and Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton. Mike was known as a really friendly guy and was well liked by many people.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Tara Bolduc and Caley Cory, both of Fall River; two sons, Michael Cory and Thomas Cory, both of Fall River; a sister, Patricia Couto of Fall River; two brothers, Gary Cory and Robbie Cory, both of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St. Cremation to follow. Calling hours Friday 6-9 p.m.
