Olga Maria Costa

Olga Maria (Sineiro) Costa, 85, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away on August 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her husband, John, and her nieces.

    Born in Furnas, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Jose Sineiro and the late Maria S. (Medeiros) Sineiro.

    Olga was the beloved wife and best friend of John Costa. Together, they shared nearly 59 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, and countless memories.

    Olga had a vibrant personality and a wonderful sense of style. She was a true animal lover and found great joy in caring for stray cats. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping, and crocheting. Above all, Olga cherished her family and especially adored her nieces and nephews, who held a very special place in her heart.

    Olga worked for 24 years as a machine operator in the textile industry at Lex Craft.

    In addition to her husband, John, Olga is survived by her sisters, Naomi Sineiro Silva, Maria Dos Anjos Silvia, and Enoia Maria Melo, and her brother, Daniel Sineiro. She was predeceased by her siblings, Natalia Amorim and Jose Sineiro. She is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews.

    Her visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at Oliveira Funeral Home, South Main Street Chapel, 2064 South Main Street, Fall River.

    Funeral prayers will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Fall River.
