Reinaldo R. Protella

FALL RIVER... Reinaldo R. Portella, 90, of Fall River passed away, November 29, 2018 at Southpointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center.

He was born in Fall River a son of the late Manuel R. and Rosa (Gonsalves) Portella and had lived in Fall River for most of his life.

He was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force retiring in 1972. After the Air Force he worked at Raytheon in Portsmouth Rhode Island as a calibrator.

Mr. Portella was a member of the Tiverton Rod and Gun Club, a volunteer on the Battleship Massachusetts for over 6 years. Mr. Portella enjoyed making handmade muzzle loading rifles

Survivors include 2 daughters: Regina R. Portella and Susan R. Haskell both of Fall River, a brother John Portella of Fall River, several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Antonio & Manuel Portella.
