Richard Lema

Richard M. Lema, 80, of Tiverton, Rhode Island, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at his home.

    Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Manuel Lema and the late Emma (Correia) Lema.

    Richard was employed as a machine operator in the garment manufacturing industry, a career he dedicated himself to for 40 years. He was known as a simple man with a kind heart who loved animals, holding a special fondness for his pet bird.

    He is survived by his beloved aunt, Irene Correia, as well as several cousins.

    Richard’s funeral mass will be held at Holy Ghost Church, in Tiverton, Thursday, Feb. 19, at 10am and his burial will be private.

    There will be no calling hours per Richard’s request.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard’s name to an animal charity of your choice.
