Richard N. Motta

Richard N. "Rick" Motta, 60, of Fall River, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 after a brief illness. He was the husband of Joanne (Correira) Motta of Fall River.
He was born in Fall River, a son of Florence (Cabral) Motta of Somerset and the late Henry Motta. Mr. Motta was a crane Operator at Electric Boat for over 30 years. He enjoyed motorcycles and NASCAR racing.
Survivors include his mother and wife, 2 stepdaughters: Sheri Costa and Kristie Lavoie, both of Fall River, 2 sisters: Melanie Swanson of Swansea and Debbie Felton of Riverside, RI; a brother, Doug Motta of Somerset; 4 grandchildren; Tristin, Madysen, Nathan, Branden; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday at 7:30 AM from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia Street, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia Street, Fall River. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Fall River. Calling hours are Friday 5 - 8 PM
