Robin Ann Lewis

Robin Ann (Sousa) Lewis, 61, of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, surrounded by her loving family.

    She was the loving wife of Russell Lewis.

    Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of Roland Sousa and Dolores (Bruske) Sousa.

    Robin dedicated over 25 years of her career as a Reading Specialist and classroom teacher for the Fall River and New Bedford public school systems, where she touched many lives. Known as the glue that held her family together, she found immense joy in being a "Vavó" and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed watching reality TV. Robin was a great mother to her community and, most of all, cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her granddaughter, Emma.

    Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Christopher Robert Carrington and his partner David Ovalles, and James David Carrington; her siblings, Gale Sousa, Robert Enos Sousa, and Laura Sousa; her granddaughter, Emma James Carrington; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Donna Candage.

    A visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, at the Oliveira Funeral Home - S. Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main St. in Fall River, from 3 PM to 6 PM, followed by Funeral Prayers in the funeral home at 6 PM.
