Rolando P. Raposo

FALL RIVER... Rolando P. Raposo, 100, of Fall River, formerly of Attleboro, passed away November 19th at Catholic Memorial Home.
He was the widower of the late Maria Louisa (Pereira-de Medeiros) Raposo.
Born in Achadinha, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Cristiano and Maria (Pacheco) Raposo.
Mr. Raposo moved to the United States n 1968 and settled in Attleboro in 1970 where he would live until moving to Fall River several years ago. He worked as a Machinist for Automatic Machine Company in Attleboro, retiring at the age of 65. He was a Boy Scout leader in the Azores.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Manuela de Mello of Mulberry, FL & Louisa de Medeiros Raposo of Brookline, MA, a son: Cristiano Medeiros Raposo of Fall River, a sister: Maria Manuela Pacheco Raposo of Ponta Delgada, Azores, 3 granddaughters: Christine Collister of FL, Ella Raposo-Sacks of Cambridge, MA & Cassandra Camara of Dighton, a grandson: Oliver Raposo of Brookline, MA, a great grandson: Daniel Collister of FL, several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of 13 late sisters and brothers.
Funeral to which relatives and friends will be held Monday at 9 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St. Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Good Shepherd Church, 1598 South Main St. Fall River. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River. Calling Hours will be Sunday from 5 - 8 PM.
