Rose D. Amaral

FALL RIVER - Rose D. (Bento) Amaral, 93, of Tiverton, RI, a retired garment worker, died Sunday, October 16th at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Manuel Amaral, Jr.
Born in Tiverton, RI, she was a daughter of the late Mariano and Maria (Machado) Bento; she was a lifelong resident of Tiverton and a communicant of St. Christopher Church. Mrs. Amaral was a talented seamstress and worked in the local garment industry for many years. She was always there for her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Roy and her husband Albert of Tiverton; a son, Stephen W. Amaral and his wife Donna L. of Tiverton; a grandson, Michael M. Roy; two great-grandchildren; Sophia Beth Roy and Michael S. Roy; two extended grandchildren, Michaila Robitaille and Alex Robitaille; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Boyd Doucet, Irene Grota, Manuel Bento, Frank Bento, Mariano Bento, Antone Bento, John Bento, Joseph Bento, Edward Bento, Charles Bento and Lionel "Leo" Bento.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, October 22nd at 8:45 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Christopher Church, Main Rd., Tiverton. Committal prayers and interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.
