Roxane Denise Banks

Roxane Denise (Ledoux) Banks, age 85, of Somerset, Massachusetts, passed away on April 9, 2026.

   She was the wife of the late John I. Banks Jr.

   Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Eugene J. and Bernadette (Noel) Ledoux.

   Roxane was a true "jack-of-all-trades" who led a varied and vibrant professional life. She served her community as a Detention Attendant for the City of Fall River Police Department, where she was well-loved by her colleagues. Known for her remarkable work ethic, she also spent fifteen years as a highly sought-after waitress at the Venus de Milo. Her diverse skills allowed her to take on many roles throughout her life, including working as a French interpreter, applying her talents as a seamstress, and selling insurance. In her free time, she always found great joy in trips to Disney and in hunting for treasures at local yard sales.

   She is survived by three sons, John Banks and his wife Pamela of Assonet, Eugene Banks of Fall River, and Eric Banks and his life partner Kathleen Sullivan of Fall River; one daughter, Bernadette Elias of New Bedford; her sisters, Laurianne Bouchard and Diane M. Boucher, both of Somerset; two granddaughters, Jaide Elias and Sage Elias. She was preceded in death by her son, Marc; her brothers, Louis, Leo, and Marcel Ledoux; and her sisters, Jeannine Lambert, Adrienne Boisselle and Lucielle Barrett.

   A Memorial Mass will be held on April 25th at 1pm at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 160 Rock St. Fall River, MA. The family has asked if those attending the services could wear something blue which was Roxane's favorite color.

   In lieu of flowers donations to the Church of the Holy Spirit are appreciated in order to continue their work helping the community through feeding ministries, a thrift shop, homeless ministry and other community outreach programs.
