Steven W. Ferreira

Steven W. Ferreira, 57, of Tiverton, RI, passed away Wednesday unexpectedly at home. He was the husband of Ann (Mendes) Ferreira.

Born in Fort Worth, TX, he was a son of the late William and Antoinette (Costa) Ferreira; he resided in Tiverton for the past 31 years and was a member of St. Theresa Church. He enjoyed carpentry, boating and mechanics.

Mr. Ferreira last worked as a produce clerk for 18 years at Stop & Shop in Newport. He previously worked as a welder for Director Shipyard in Newport.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Shelby A. Ferreira of Woonsocket, RI; a brother, William Michael Ferreira, and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Tiverton. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 6 - 8 p.m.
