Tony Guilherme

FALL RIVER - Tony Guilherme, 73, of Canonicus St., Tiverton, RI, a retired textile worker, died Tuesday, Sept. 20th at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of Maria (Sousa) Guilherme.
Born in Furnas, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose and Sophia (Rego) Guilherme; he emigrated to this country in 1970 and was a member of Holy Ghost Church. Mr. Guilherme worked as a machine operator for over 30 years at Duro Finishing in Fall River.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Patricia Jean Correia and her husband Ricardo J. and Elizabeth G. Correia and her husband Joseph A., both of Fall River; a sister, Maria Angel Casado of Fall River; three brothers, Jose Costa and Joao Guilherme, both of St. Michael, Azores and Victor Guilherme of Fall River; a granddaughter, Zoya Correia; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Friday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Judson St., Tiverton. Interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton. Calling hours Thursday 5-8 p.m.
